Cotton Boucle
I have some really pretty cotton boucle yarn…?
And I was wondering if you had and suggestions or knitting/crochet patterns of what I could make with it?
I bought it at a special yarn shop years ago, I don’t have any pictures but its white, blue and green.

I have about 500 grams.
You can use this yarn for anything you want to knit, as long as you use the correct needle size and you have enough yarn.
One thing to watch for is that because this yarn has a lot of texture, you are not going to be able to make a very smooth or even knitted or crochet item. That is, with a smooth yarn, you can get good stitch definition, and show off the patterning of the stitches, such as you would for an Aran cable, for example. But with a textured yarn, no matter how even your knitting is, it won’t show that well. Your stitch definition won’t be as clear, and if you were to do cables, for example, it would all be the same, and you won’t be able to see them as well.
With having a variegated yarn, the colour patterning will obscure your stitch pattern as well.
The best thing would be garter stitch, or plain stockinette without any fancy stitches. You will want to let the yarn be the focus, not your knitting, or the pattern. Scarves would be good, or a simple T-shirt top, dishcloths — anything that is fairly straight-forward and plain knit.
You can also mix it with some other yarns. You can use it held together with another yarn to add a bit of texture to an otherwise plain yarn, or you could knit something with textural stripes with a similar weight smooth yarn and the boucle. That can add special visual appeal, as well as making your yarn go further.
