Set Brother
The brother HL 1435 printer was designed specifically for home and personal use and can be connected to a Mac computer or a personal computer. This printer uses the latest in laser technology and produces high quality printouts. It does have 4MB of memory and 1200 x 600 resolution though 4Mb is the maximum memory possible. It can print up to 15 pages in a minute and the largest size media is takes is letter or legal size.
Besides printing on plain paper the HL1435 can also print on the follow types of media, transparencies, labels, envelopes, card stock, and photo paper. It is possible to use the manual paper fee bypass if you want to print on envelopes or letterhead. The operating on your computer must be Mac OS 8.6 or later or Windows 95 or later. The printer connects to your computer using a USB connection or parallel port connection.
As the printer was designed for personal use it can only be connected to one computer and not through a network. The product does not come with a connection cable so you may need to purchase one when you buy the printer. Other items that come in the box include a CD-ROM containing manuals and drivers, DR-400 drum unit, TN-430 toner cartridge and quick set up guide. The product comes with a 1-year exchange program and warranty. The warranty covers both parts and service.
This printer is excellent no matter if you are printing text files or heavy graphic files. Each printout is clear and crisp with no blurry lines. When printing out large documents the printer will pause every few pages but otherwise it prints very fast. The quality cannot be matched by an inkjet printer and the HL1435 is a great upgrade from inkjet to laser printing.
Most customers comment on how easy to use the printer is and that the software immediately connects you to the Brothers website on subject pages relating to your issue. The company offers excellent trouble shooting information as well as technical support.
It should be noted that this printer will only work with USB cables that are less than 6 feet in length. Make sure you have the right cable before you set up your printer.
The printer also cannot connect to your computer through a USB hub. It can only operate using a specific type of USB port and that information can be found in the directions. If you are having trouble making a USB connection then it is very easy to connect using a parallel port cable.
The brother HL 1435 printer is a great printer for personal use. It takes Brother HL 1435 Toner cartridges and it is smart to have one of these on hand for when you run out.
