Is it legal to embroider copy written images?
I want to make a replica of a jacket from a movie, and to do that I need to get some logos that are trade marked embroidered into the jacket. The jacket would be for personal use, not for re-sale, but I would have to pay some company to embroider it, so is that enough to have the legal hammer brought down on me?
Or does anyone know any companies/businesses that would do the embroidery and then let me “tip them for their service”?
How about trying to ask for permission to use the design. I have asked for permission for several things and if you find the right person they will say yes – as long as it is for personal use and not resale, and if they don’t sell the thing you are trying to make. Keep the email..dont do it over the phone.
