Toys Knitting
Girls Only toy knitting machine. I have got one of these and have lost instructions, can anyone help?
It is one of those circular ones with a handle to turn. My grand daughter wanted to try it but we arent sure how to set it up.
I bought one of these horrible things for my daughter to try–it never worked right and resulted in hours of frustration for both of us. But maybe you will have better luck.
HOW TO THREAT THE MACHINE FOR MAKING TUBES:
1. Be sure the top removable handle is not attached to the machine.
2. Feed the end of the yarn through the center of the machine.
#. HOok the yarn onto the first raised hook to the immediate right of the feeder.
4. Slowly turn the handle clockwise and thread the yarn onto everyother hook as it rises, passing it front and back until a rotation has been completed. Be sure to hook the yarn through the first needle you threaded for a complete turn.
5. Pass the yarn through the gap on the feeder. Make sure that the yarn passes through the notch in the feeder. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
6. Hold the yarn taut and slowly turn the handle clockwise for about five stitches.
7. put the tension arm in the raised osition and thread the yarn through until it comes out the bottom.
8. Put the hand on top of the machine.
HOW TO MAKE A TUBE
1. Turn the handle clockwise and watch the knitted yarn come out thruogh the underside of the machine.
2. Periodically pull down gently on the knitted fabric as it comes out of the bottom, to prevent it from snagging.
3. After you have achieved the desired length, stop and remove the handle on top of the machine. Cut the yarn leaving 18-24 inches and thread the plastic needle with the loose end.
TO REMOVE
1. Slowly turn the crank (counter-clockwise) and feed the needle through each loop as the hook rises, lifting the yarn off the hook.
2. when you ahve passed the needle through the last stitch, pull the yarn all the way back through the end and tie a knot.
